Successful Fair Trade sale at St Simons

Congratulations on another successful Fair Trade sale at St Simon's Catholic Church in Los Altos this past weekend. Many thanks to Ana for putting on this event. Thanks also to the people from church and school who helped with the ethically traded items which included ethically traded home decor, Christmas ornaments, coffee, and chocolate. This weekend is Fair Trade weekend at St John Vianney Catholic Church in San Jose. Before and after all masses, Fair Trade coffee including the new Equal Exchange Mama Tierra will be sold. Tea, chocolate and cocoa will also be available as well. A good time is guaranteed for all.

Fair Trade Baked Beans

October is Fair Trade month! Celebrate the diversity of Fair Trade products. For example, Geo Organic's Fair Trade baked beans. The beans come from farmers who belong to the Jurihe/Zhaluteqi Nature Village Farmer Association. It is based in one of China’s poorest rural regions of Tong Liao City in Inner Mongolia.With the fair trade social premium, the farmers of he Fairtrade-certified co-operative voted to purchase a much needed well for their community.
